Why ask a question if you don’t seriously want to know the answer?
I think one of my biggest pet peeves is when people ask me about me or my life and I give them a genuinely, well-thought out answer and they completely dismiss the fact that they asked me a question and completely change the subject. Why ask about me if you don’t care or don’t genuinely want to get to know me? This happens all the time when people ask me about college, what I study, and what I want to do. I’m in International Business and French major and I’m very passionate about what I do…when you ask me what I want to do, I’m going to give you a decently long answer and answer your question, the least you could do is respond with a well-thought out answer…more than: “That’s interesting” then changing the subject.
